On a sunny spring afternoon in Manchester, teams from Abacus and Tace—two consultancies now proudly part of the Contollo Group—came together for a friendly but fiercely contested inaugural padel tournament.

On a sunny spring afternoon in Manchester, teams from Abacus and Tace—two consultancies now proudly part of the Contollo Group—came together for a friendly but fiercely contested inaugural padel tournament.

With eight players from each company taking to the courts at The Pollen Club, the event marked the first formal meet-up between the two businesses since joining the Contollo family—Abacus in February 2024, and Tace in November 2024.

Beyond the backhands and volleys, the event served as a brilliant way for both teams to connect outside the office. Competitive energy, team spirit and plenty of laughter filled the afternoon, followed by well-earned food and drinks as colleagues old and new got to know one another.

After a series of close matches, it was Abacus who edged ahead to claim the victory—and with it, the bragging rights… at least until the rematch.
