Baytree Nuneaton achieved a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ accreditation reflecting its commitment to sustainability and environmental performance. A key highlight of the scheme is a 30,000 sq ft office structure constructed using cross-laminated timber (CLT), showcasing innovative and sustainable building practices.
The development incorporates a range of advanced sustainability and wellbeing features, including biophilic design principles, extensive landscaping, integrated gym equipment and well-connected footpaths. The site also includes a traversing wall and two multi-use games areas (MUGAs), promoting active lifestyles and user engagement.
KAM acted as cost manager and employer’s agent throughout the lifecycle of the project – from early feasibility and cost planning through to practical completion and the defects period. Our involvement ensured robust cost control, programme management, and the successful delivery of this high-quality, sustainable development.
As commercial managers and employer’s agent, KAM played a key role in the successful delivery of Baytree Nuneaton; a project which featured industry firsts such as a cross-laminated timber and glulam frame to the offices of Unit 2 and two MUGA pitches which are used both by the building users and local sports clubs as valued community facilities.
KAM’s expertise and commitment as integral members of the team ensured that the construction programme was delivered seamlessly at a time of considerable turbulence in the sector.
