Cheadle College Campus Redevelopment

This project comprises a 50,000 sq ft new build element and the refurbishment of the existing sports hall and refectory (the latter converted into teaching accommodation). The new build includes an extensive element of SEN provision, as well as general teaching and specialist space for health and safety, along with early years.

Abacus have been involved in this project since inception, managing the design team through the various stages and ensuring the client’s requirements are at the forefront of the design. Due to the sensitive nature of the project, Abacus assisted the employer with key stakeholder engagement, successfully navigating the project through planning and overseeing the appointment of a contractor through two-stage procurement. This is to ensure the project is handed over ahead of the new academic year.
