Customer Fulfilment Centre

We were appointed as Ocado’s consultant for their new customer fulfilment centre located in Purfleet. As Ocado’s fifth such centre, it occupies the entire 19-acre site inside the M25 alongside the A13. The unit, at SEGRO Logistics Park, combines the space, power and connectivity to house Ocado’s cutting-edge, robotic packing operation, achieving a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ sustainability rating.

Due to our extensive knowledge of the Ocado operation, we were tasked with performing enhanced design and monitoring for the mechanical and electrical, sprinkler, refrigeration and insulated structure installations. Our compliance team were also responsible for monitoring and checking the quality of works on site, along with commissioning and testing for services to ensure that the building’s functionality met the required design parameters.
