A 700,000 sq ft temperature-controlled facility.
KAM supported DHL on their 700,000 sq ft warehouse development site at SEGRO EMG as part of their partnership with Mars UK.
The facility included a high bay with a 33m haunch height, which was filled with automation including cranes, racking, pallet elevators and conveyor systems. The rest of the building, with an 18m haunch height, included a two-level structural mezzanine.
During the development of the automation design, KAM’s role included managing the interface with the developer’s base build. A key part of this was close coordination with the developer’s team throughout. KAM also led the team on the development of all the other fit-out packages. Due to programme requirements, these were negotiated with the developer, who then delivered as part of their base build works.
