Seamless integration of a large-scale automation fit-out in a new DHL logistics hub.
KAM provided comprehensive support to DHL from initial concept design through to full operational delivery of their new 242,000 sq ft logistics hub. This included strategic negotiations with the developer to secure base build enhancements, coordination of direct contractors, and the integration of a complex, large-scale automated sortation system with multi-tiered mezzanines.
The project was delivered to a demanding programme, requiring intricate coordination between the base build and the automation fit-out. The automation system was a critical component, necessitating early engagement to align technical requirements, facilitate early access, and enable a staged approach to commissioning and testing.
The follow-on warehouse fit-out was completed in August 2024. A tightly coordinated handover process supported a phased operational ramp-up, with the facility now fully operational and supporting DHL’s logistics operations.
