Distribution Warehouse Midlands

We were appointed to be involved in the design and construction of a new sortation centre for UK Mail, now part of DHL. UK Mail selected the Prologis Ryton site as their new home in order to increase productivity, improve sortation technology, and also provide a new facility where they could accommodate their new headquarters building.

The project was executed on a shell and fit-out basis, with MBA involved to perform both the base build and fit-out M&E design, integrating the tenant’s requirements into the project’s base build element.

The warehouse building incorporated a mixture of conveyor and sortation systems, inclusive of HGV and van access for the delivery network. All the usual ancillary services were provided for a building of this nature, including waste and battery charging facilities.
