Construction of luxury student accommodation following a complex demolition.
The works involve the demolition and construction of new student accommodation comprising 494 beds. The development offers a compelling variety of living options, including beautifully designed studios and four-, five-, and six-bedroom en-suite bedrooms.
The luxury all-inclusive accommodation will be fitted out to an exceptional specification, providing amenities such as a festival zone, multimedia/games lounge, a state-of-the-art gym with personal trainers and cycle storage.
Built on the site of a former BMW showroom, the client’s perception of a simple demolition ahead of the new build could not have been further from reality. A major challenge saw Abacus liaising with Sheffield Council Archaeological to ensure the presence of a strategy for archaeological investigation. Abacus worked closely with the design team and the client from the project’s initial inception through to practical completion.
