A sustainable stacked factory designed for flexible manufacturing and storage.
Located in Barking, the factory is one of the first of its kind to be delivered in the UK. Designed to support a community of small and medium-sized flexible manufacturing and storage facilities, the building features multi-level industrial units with vehicle access, which is arranged around landscaped deck spaces.
The bespoke design includes a helical ramp enabling efficient vehicle access to the first and second floors. Upon completion, the building is set to achieve an EPC ‘A’ rating and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification.
MBA were appointed by the developer and by the building contractor, McLaren, to undertake the design and management of utilities, sitewide infrastructure, and perform the building services design for the landlord and factory areas.
