The extension and remodelling of a retail and entertainment space.
This scheme saw the extension and remodelling of the existing Edge Lane Retail Park to create 1 million sq ft of retail and entertainment space located on the gateway road to Liverpool.
The shopping and leisure development, occupying three quarters of a mile of frontage onto Edge Lane, provides parking for 1,500 cars and comprises 41 retail units including Outfit, B&Q and TK Maxx.
The development required five HV substations to be moved, a new 32 MV ring main to seven new substations, and the transfer from Scottish Power to an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO). The site now has a total supply of 8 MVA. All units on the site were designed to achieve an EPC rating of A.
