Amazon’s first fully electric fulfilment centre in the UK.
MBA were appointed by Bericote and Amazon to undertake the design and management of the utility network and sitewide external infrastructure for the developer’s base build.
The base build was modified to incorporate the tenants’ enhancements required by following the fit-out building services design for the warehouse and office areas.
Located in Dartford, this bespoke automated fulfilment centre spans four floors and boasts more than 2.2 million sq ft of floor space, including a two-storey main office and ancillary facilities.
High-efficiency air source heat pumps were installed to deliver both heating and cooling to the warehouse to eliminate the need for gas.
